Our clients are the people on the bus. The heads in beds. The bums on seats (they’re not bums!). The hands in the air. They’re people who we want to have the best times of their lives. Many of them have been on Backside adventures before. Our clients include our traditional youth oriented ski tours, corporate excursionists, great groups of golfers, schools and a myriad of independent travellers looking for a getaway or an adventure of a lifetime.
These are the folks who have our backs. And that’s because we have their backs. We supply the clients, and the suppliers provide the accommodation, transportation, destination and all the trappings that make good trips great. Our relationship with suppliers is corporate symbiosis at its finest.
Partners & Stakeholders
Partners and stakeholders are fundamental accessories to our success. They include sponsors, boards and committees, festival and event folk, mentors and other great people that advocate on our behalf. To imagine Backside without our sponsors would be like imagining apres-ski without pints.
The Corporate Crew
Pay no attention to the folks behind the curtain. The great and powerful Blizzard of Awwwwsssomeness is more than just a whirlwind of white paper and blue screens buried deep in the irony mines of corporate HQ. At the centre of Backside’s operations is a dedicated team of sharp, savvy sophisticates who also happen to be some of the pretty near damn nicest folks you might ever push outta the way in order to get first tracks. Founding Partner Tod Caton and Managing Partner Neall Alden have held the reins for over a decade and their approachability and accessibility are critical elements of the Backside story. The corporate crew somehow manage to balance attention to detail, long term planning and short term reactiveness with a passion for adventure, fun and big smiles in the great outdoors. Just don’t ask them about the outdoors when they’re chained to their cubicles.
