Before You Go

Ski & Snowboard

  • Pack lite as there is no extra storage space on the bus
  • Make sure your skis or snowboard is tuned up and ready to shred
  • Pack your bathing suit. even if there is no hot tub, you will most likely find a use for it
  • Extra socks and extra gloves are always a good idea
  • Double check that you packed your goggles and your long underwear. the only thing worse than skiing without these, is skiing in jeans
  • If you have rentals, write down the rental number on the equipment so you can get the right skis when unloading the bus
  • Always bring your health care card with you (just in case)
  • Although incriminating, photos are fun to have of your trip so pack your camera
  • Get familiar with the mountain if you have not been there before

Surf

  • Before you leave, take sand and rub it thoroughly into your underwear. wear these underwear around for a week. this will get you used to the feeling of being on a beach
  • Also, add sand to your cereal each morning of this same week
  • Get some workout time in to prepare your shoulders and arms for the workload. Your body will hate you if you don't
  • Pack lite as you will be in your wet suit for the bulk of your days
  • If flying, know your luggage restrictions
  • Allocate $30-$40 per day for meals and beverages
  • Bring personal travel insurance and medical expenses, phone calls, tips, and personal expenses
  • Bring rain gear and something warm as weather can be unpredictable at times
  • Pack sunscreen as combination of saltwater and sun can be hard on skin
  • Pack swimwear, Sunglasses and Towel
  • You may want to bring a volleyball, frisbee and other easy to pack beach fun items to use if weather permits
  • Don't forget your camera or video camera as you will want to capture all your memories
  • Research surfing before you come on the trip – know what you are getting into

Golf

  • Double check that you have twice as many balls as you think you require.
  • Pack sunscreen and bug-spray are a must, even if you don't use them, someone will
  • Throw a rain-jacket in your bag
  • Throw in some deodorant as well ;-)
  • Pray to the golf Gods for patience and a good short game
  • Prepare your body for twisting, swinging, and throwing of clubs
  • Bring a swear jar to ensure you have some extra money for clubhouse stop at end of round
