The Nelson Experience

Nelson is pretty much the hippest (and hippiest ;-) town around. Never mind you get the amazing mountain views and huge dumps of snow at nearby Whitewater and Red Mountain. The community atmosphere is vibrant, funky and fun! Our groups stayed at Best Western Baker street where the staff are absolutely amazing. And from singing and raping my lungs out at Finley's Irish Pub on Karaoke night to getting down to some beats at Spirit Bar, needless to say, I love this place. NEALL A (Backside Guide)

Sinfully Sweet!

Whitewater is a small resort nestled in the Selkirks of British Columbia. Being 10 minutes from Nelson it can be hard to get to, but there are 2 reasons to go: 1) Nelson is an amazing town! and 2) Powder! The terrain is incredible and few resorts get more powder and less traffic than Whitewater. Every time I've been to Whitewater it's been pillowy soft, waist deep, with fresh tracks. Not much more you can ask for... except maybe a pint of Faceplant from Coal Oil Johnny's at the end of the day. Oh, and if you need more convincing, then watch Sinners: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjHUUIGCPw4 - BRODY (Backside Guide)

Just Go!

After enjoying the either of the two amazing out of the way gems of Whitewater or Red Mountain, I always enjoy heading to Ainsworth hot springs, which is far better then your hotel hot tub and just a short way out of town. Ease your sore body deep into the caves to the source of hot water, and when you cant take the heat anymore head to one of my favorite pools; the cold pool and see how long you can take teh freeze. Then when your done relaxing head back into town where you can grab some pints at Finleys pub and make your plan of attack for the next day. Trevor G (Backside Guide)

Ainsworth Hot Springs

One of the most unique hot springs, Ainsworth sits as my favorite spot to let all the pain from a hard days' ride melt away. The hot caves are by far the best feature, allowing you to stroll through long stretches of a hot, underground pool, deciding how dark you want your relaxation to be. I always feel a little like James Bond or Hef when I am in the grotto. Great place to visit when you are in Nelson country! - CURTIS H (Backside Guide)
