Silver Star Awesome!
Silver Star is an awesome all-around mountain. It boasts a very respectable terrain park, plenty of quality beginner and intermediate runs on the Vance Creek side, and some wicked steeps on the Putnam Creek side. Also check out the Attridge area as there's often a nice stash of freshies and its usually the last area to get tracked out. Silver Star also enjoys a great layout. It is very easy to get around, lacking the time-consuming multiple-lift traverses of some other mountains. Its summer grooming is also outstanding, resulting in great snow coverage and less worry about nicking rocks and trees; it is a very clean mountain to ride. The Victorian-style village is pretty fun and friendly too - seek out the classic Long John's Pub for a cold brew to get the evening started. - TANNER D (Backside Guide)
