Long Steep Fall Lines

This place is one of my favourites for late season big bumps (50+ cms is not uncommon post-March). Castles's high altitude keeps the snow coming and provides exceptional views and long steep fall lines. Off the beaten path; it tends to be less busy even on pow days. Well worth the detour when the conditions strike... and they do often. - Kim B (Backside Guide)

Castle Consistent

Being from Calgary, Castle is my favourite close-by option. A little further than the Banff mountains, but the pay off is more steeps and glades with less people. I find Castle has fairly consistently good snow, though sometimes it tends to get a bit windswept, but this only results in an enjoyable treasure hunt for snow that leads to new bits of terrain. Thumbs up! - LORI S (Backside Guide)
