The Apex Mountain Inn is the largest hotel on the mountain, situated in the village with easy ski in, ski out access. It used to be located at the bottom of a series of double blacks of to skiers left, providing hours of patio-worthy entertainment. It now resides at the main lodge but has kept the same name. It has been written up in Ski magazines for decades, and last time I was there you could still throw your peanut shells on the floor (a la Trapper's cabin at Sunshine).
